Economic Impact of DC's Arts-Related Businesses

The data for every congressional district is available here, from the ArtsUSA 2005 Report on Creative Industries.

Here are the results for DC --

"As of January 2005, District of Columbia is home to 2,143 arts-related businesses that employ 20,618 people. These arts-centric businesses play an important role in building and sustaining economic vibrancy. They employ people, spend money locally, generate government revenue, and are a cornerstone of tourism and economic development. The map below provides a clear picture of the creative industries in District of Columbia, with each dot representing an arts-centric business." Because it only surveyed organizations listed with Dun&Bradstreet, it is an under-reporting.
