A step forward in arts promotion

Photo credit: Rikard Larma/Metro Philadelphia, Associated Press. Posted by Hello"Visitors enjoy a nice day while walking on a likeness of Salvador Dali on the front steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The museum is hosting an exhibit of the surrealist's works through May 16th."

About 200,000 tickets have been sold thus far. (I am not a big Dali fan, but I like how the Philadelphia Museum of Art has creatively promoted this exhibit.)

See here for Philadelphia Inquirer coverage of the exhibition, including Dali-related music and multimedia presentations. This press release discusses the coordinated marketing campaign for the exhibit, and this Inquirer story is about the Museum gift shop and its Dali-oriented products that tie into the exhibition. Finally, if you want to go, this article suggests not dali-ing and buying your ticket now.
