There is something called the Ronald Reagan Legacy Project. I remember joking after the Ronald Reagan International Center on Pennsylvania Avenue NW and the forced renaming of National Airport that next we would rename the City of Washington to "Reagan."
Well, one of the District of Columbia's 537 mayors, Representative Henry Bonilla from Texas, "has proposed renaming 16th Street NW as Ronald Reagan Boulevard. Rep. Henry Bonilla, co-chairman of the 2000 and 2004 Republican national conventions, quietly introduced the 106-word resolution before Congress adjourned for summer recess July 28" according to Spencer Hsu's article in the Post, "A Roadblock for Reagan: Proposal to Rename 16th St. Runs Into Objections."
Given that I have no Photoshop skills, the photos below will have to suffice.
