Bad design is everywhere

From time to time I post photos of particularly egregious DC popups--addition of a third floor to an existing rowhouse that had been two stories or houses that have been rebuilt with an ersatz design (facade) that has zero reference to DC architectural styles generally or what the house had been originally.

This is an example from Salt Lake City.  It's literally one of the worst I've ever seen.

Likely this is what the house looked like originally, based on the style of this house a few doors down.

I'm surprised it's legal for a house to not have second floor windows.
