"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Temporary signage by Utah Transit Agency
Corrugated plastic sign from the UTA (Utah Transit Agency) outlining service improvements on the 21 Bus line
And service reductions as a result of reduced ridership demand in response to shelter in place/stay at home orders wrt the coronavirus.
The corrugated plastic signs are probably easier to affix and remain more permanent, compared to laminated paper flyers. As a result, they are easier to read.
(I never got good photographs, but the service improvements were also promoted in the digital route sign information displayed on bus fronts.)
