World Monuments Fund Announces the 2006 WMF Watch List of 100

The World Monuments Fund (WMF) announced its biennial Watch List of 100 most endangered sites. Assembled by an international panel of experts, the list identifies the world’s most imperiled historic architectural and cultural sites, bringing them to international attention and helping to raise funds for their rescue. For many of these threatened cultural treasures, inclusion on the Watch list offers the only hope for survival.
