Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Explorer loading

I changed the number of days of entries posted from 10 to 6, and that seemed to have done the trick in terms of loading on some networks where I was getting computer crashes over the past few days.

This makes me take a reprieve on moving all the sidebar links into separate files on a linked but separate blog.

Please let me know what you think about that. I can do it, if it will speed loading, although it will lead to a reduction in link usage.
