Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Stuff

I was at the Main Street conference the past few days, and between sessions, bad wifi connections, and a hard disk that is so full I can't upload photos (yes, I know I either need a bigger hard disk or have to spend serious time deleting stuff), I didn't do any blogging.

I have a bunch of projects, a paper, tours the weekend of April 25th and 26th, and at least two trips over the course of the next month or so, which could impact the imparting here some.

And I need one of those wi-fi camera memory cards to make uploading photos much easier.
