Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Taking public transit to York and Lancaster Pennsylvania

Not sure I'd like to try it, but Rabbit Transit from York is now providing service between York, PA and Baltimore, with stops at the Hunt Valley and Timonium Light Rail stations on the 83S Express route, $5 each way. Rabbit Transit also provides service to Columbia, Pennsylvania, where riders can connect to the Red Rose Transit system for service to Lancaster.

See the Baltimore Sun article, "New bus line provides route from York to Baltimore" for more.
