Peter Craig, died at the age of 81

The Washington Post reports today, in the obituary entitled "Fought to keep superhighways out of D.C.," that Peter Craig, then a lawyer at a prominent and connected DC law firm, Covington & Burling, and a key leader of the fight against building freeways in DC, has died. After working for Southern Railway Company, Mr. Craig became a high level official, upon the creation of the U.S. Department of Transportation. He returned to the Southern Railway Company after his service at USDOT.
