The potential of electricity transmission towers as public art

This probably wouldn't satisfy people in Virginia fighting against electric transmission lines being placed across the James River ("Top Stories of 2015: James River transmission towers incite controversy | No. 6," Newport News Daily Press), but it's interesting nonetheless.

The "Land of the Giants" proposal for the Landsnet district of Iceland was not chosen. The architects have since made a similar proposal to an electricity distribution firm in South Korea.
