Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Tom Sherwood speaking tonight

From a community email list:

We will meet July 14 at Ben's Chili Bowl 1213 U St., NW 6-8pm. Tom Sherwood, local DC political journalist will discuss DC policital issues. It is an opportunity to ask him many questions, including the relationship between the media and DC politics. He is eager to meet us and MeetUps. Please come. Don't forget to RSVP to the meetup website.

I look forward to meeting you then.
