Results of AP-AOL Poll on Gas Prices

The AP-AOL News poll on public attitudes about gasoline prices is based on telephone interviews with 1,000 adults from all states except Alaska and Hawaii. The interviews were conducted August 9-11 by Ipsos, an international polling firm.

Note on the question of "Which ONE of the following would you say deserves the most blame for higher energy prices?" NONE of the questions deal with (1) the peaking of oil production and dwindling supplies; (2) a U.S. transportation infrastructure and lifestyle that is completely dependent on oil-gasoline; and (3) increased world-wide demand in large part from "modernizing" countries in particular China and India.
