Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Breakfast at St. Michael's Hotel, Prescott, Arizona

Another attempt at still life and composition. After eating here, I was told by a store clerk at Betty & Co. (a very interesting tile store) that the best Huevos Rancheros she's ever had are at the Hassayampa Inn (and she's eaten Huevos Rancheros throughout the southwest and in Mexico), which was the conference hotel, but I never managed to eat breakfast there. Had I only known... she said the grape relish is excellent too. Maybe next year...
