Immigration Rights Rally Monday
The Sunday Post ran an article, "From Latinos' Rally, Hopes for a Movement", plus the explanatory graphic below, about today's demonstration.
I find this movement incredibly interesting, powerful, and a portent of the future... think by comparison of how many people protested on the 3 year anniversary of the entry into Iraq...
From Brendan Danaher:
Next Monday, April 10 there will be a rally at the Washington Monument against the immigration bill passed in the US House. This bill would make criminals of the teachers, doctors, social workers, and clergy who provide help to undocumented immigrants.
DATE: Monday April 10th
TIME: 4:00 p.m.
PLACE: Washington Monument
We need to send a clear message to our elected leaders that immigration reform should be fair and just, and that all workers in this country deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
Please pass this along to anybody who would be interested in volunteering or attending.
