Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

An idea to make the DC.gov Calendar more widely available

Partial screenshot, DC Government CalendarPartial screenshot, DC Government Calendar.

Comparable to the way the Upcoming Calendar works in the right sidebar, as a feed from a publicly created calendar of events, the DC Government could set up the DC Calendar, currently available only on the DC Government website, in such a fashion so that it can be fed-propagated to other interested websites.

I know I would add a feed of the DC Government Calendar to this website if it were possible.

This would be handled by OCTO, the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, the Information Technology division of the DC Government.
