Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

State of Michigan tourism ad promoting bicycling

I saw this on the Mlive website. Mlive is the master website for the state's Booth Newspapers, which have newspapers in most of the major cities across the state outside of Detroit (exceptions = Battle Creek, Lansing, and Port Huron, and the Upper Peninsula). Clicking on the ad will take you to a special bicycle tourism promotion effort by the State of Michigan.
