Another example of invasion-succession theory

The New York Times reports on the noticeable change in ownership of diners, as Greek restauranteurs are selling out to Koreans, and other immigrant groups. See "Diners in Changing Hands; Greek Ownership on the Wane" and "Newer Immigrants Taking Over Diners."

(This happened in Ann Arbor starting in the mid-1980s. And they did add Korean items to the menu, which is why I like Korean food today.)

Tired of the stressful life as the co-owner of Executive Diner in Hawthorne, in Westchester County, 71-year-old Elias Spyrocoulos is looking to sell. He is not the only one. As Greek diner owners retire, and the children they put through college with the earnings are not interested in inheriting their parents' long hours, newer immigrant groups are taking their place.
