Slum tourism

(Maybe this is a way to reposition how people think about and visit center cities.) See "Slum Visits: Tourism or Voyeurism?" from the New York Times. I do get tired of dealing with people's fear of the other. When people see the city, the first thing they comment on is the litter, loitering, graffiti, and abandoned buildings.
