Union Station Intermodal Transportation Center Feasibility Study
DDOT is proposing a feasibility study to investigate the design and construction of a new Intermodal Transportation Center in the area behind Union Station (AKA Burnham Place).
Within the study scope is:
• Baseline Transportation Improvement Studies
• New Rail Passenger Concourse
• Upgraded Amtrak passenger concourse
• Improved Emergency Access & Egress
• Improvements to the Existing Rail Concourse
• Tour Bus & Commuter Parking Accommodations
• Streetcar Integration
• Pedestrian Tunnel from Union Station to 1st Street, NE
• New Metrorail Entrance from the H Street Bridge
• Baseline Environmental Requirements Study
Upon completion of the feasibility study, DDOT will determine if further analysis is necessary and/or plan for the phased implementation of the study's recommendations.

It's not clear to me that merging the inter-city bus transportation terminal currently located on 1st Street NE is part of this study, although Greyhound is participating on the Technical Advisory Committee for the project.
