Urban magnets for young adults

A few months back, the Wall Street Journal reported on the trials and tribulations of places like Portland, with limited job development options, in terms of the city's ability to be creative and vibrant. See "'Youth Magnet' Cities Hit Midlife Crisis."

Last week, the WSJ updated this general story, with "The Next Hot Youth-Magnet Cities."

In the current survey, DC and Seattle tie for first. New York City is third, Portland, Oregon is fourth, and Austin is fifth. San Jose, California is sixth, Denver and Raleigh, North Carolina tie for seventh, Dallas is ninth, and Chicago and Boston are tied for tenth.
