Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Cool marketing of Lucozade Energy drink in London will provide a free ride on the London Underground

Grey Advertising's repositioning marketing campaign for the Lucozade Energy drink includes a fair amount of transit system focused initiatives at various stations in London.

Next week, they will be handing out free bottles of the drink at the Oxford Circus station.

Each bottle has a chip affixed to the bottom enabling one free round trip ride on the London Underground.

Pretty cool.
