One view of the media future: Googlezon and EPIC

GooglezonA counter-factual imaging the merger of Google (which already includes Blogger and Tivo) and Amazon.com.

The Financial Times clued me into Lightover Media and their ideas of the media future, where Google, Blogger, Tivo, and Amazon are all merged, and eventually launch EPIC: the Enhanced Personalized Information Construct, which provides information perfectly targeted for each individual. In this scenario, in 2014 the New York Times throws in the towel, goes off-line, and publishes a newspaper for "the elite and seniors."
