Building the automobile culture

Cars at School (Auburn University)What car should a student drive? It’s a question with safety implications. Above, a lot at Auburn University in Alabama.

According to a survey done for AutoExtra.com: 76 percent of 16- 22-year-olds have their own car; 82 percent were bought used; more than half cost under $10,000; and about half were paid for in full by parents. (AP Photo)
