Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

More on City Council Salaries

Paul Johnson of Baltimore, in his Bosconet blog, took the City Council salary data from the Seattle Times and calculated the salaries according to population. Based on the population for the respective cities, DC, Portland and Seattle tie for the highest salaries for City Council Members based on the amount of salary/population.

Check out his blog entry here. He offers you an Excel file with the data set he created.

Thanks Paul!
