Tonight: The Foggy Bottom Association Mayoral Candidates Forum on Land Use issues

From the Foggy Bottom Association:

The Foggy Bottom Association will host a forum for the major mayoral candidates on Wednesday, July 12, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Melrose Hotel, 2430 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.

The theme of the forum is "Future Development and Land Use in the District: Is This Our Land or Is This Their Land?," which will be moderated by Colbert King, Washington Post Columnist and a Foggy Bottom native.


The format will be 90 minutes of introductions and moderated questions, followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers, and then ending with a reception.

Four of the five invited candidates have agreed to participate in the debate as of press time: Michael Brown, Councilmember Adrian Fenty (D-Ward 4), Marie Johns and Councilmember Vincent Orange (D-Ward 5).

Generally, I avoid these kinds of events, because they are scripted, and people don't really say all that much. But I've never met Colbert King...
