Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Community Forklift, appliances

(Not these ones)

From Ruthie at Community Forklift:

We're happy to announce that we're now carrying beautiful reconditioned appliances from Alco Appliance Services of Beltsville.

REFRIGERATORS, STOVES, WASHERS, DRYERS, ICEMAKERS, DISHWASHERS, AND MORE!

Alco has a great reputation – I once heard a client describe them as the "Appliance Whisperers!" They carefully inspect these high-quality appliances before delivering them to our warehouse, and they even provide a warranty for in-home service. (Alco's warranty does not apply to Community Forklift's regular section of salvaged machines. Alco appliances are warranted for service for designated periods of time within certain local zip codes. See the specification sheet on each appliance for details).

Give us a call at 301-985-5180 if you have any questions. A word of advice: we probably won't be able to describe the current appliances over the phone, as the inventory changes often, and our staff is super busy helping customers in the store. As always, your best bet is to come in and see for yourself!
