Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

The Baltimore Regional Transportation Board plans to vote on final adoption of Transportation Outlook 2035 on 27 November 2007 at 9:00 a.m.

I'd really appreciate it if you could attend, comment on the plan during the time alloted to public comment at the beginning of the meeting, and generally help to fill the normally empty room. Please also forward this request along to others whom you think might be interested. Let me know if you have any questions.
