Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

I have been remiss in not mentioning this project...

Digging Pitt and Digging Pitt Too Galleries present The Blogger Show featuring a range of visual disciplines and aesthetics. The one commonality is active, online blogging that has brought new artists to light. Check it out now, or during the receptions December 8.

(For more info on the gallery, check out this blog entry "John Morris: NYC Artist, Pittsburgh Gallery Owner and Raconteur" from Urban Bytes.)

This Gallery is in the Lawrenceville District in Pittsburgh.
