Report Shows National Wildlife Refuges Provide Economic Boost

While this report from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, entitled Banking on Nature 2006: The Economic Benefits to Local Communities of National Wildlife Refuge Visitation, isn't directly relevant to urban areas, the point about public investment having significant economic return is relevant generally to investments in arts, culture, heritage, education, and recreation.
