Advantages of the wayfinding signage program in Baltimore vs. the DC system

1. The Baltimore signs are much cheaper in terms of mostly affixing them to extant poles rather than having expensive separate poles.

2. Plus they are cheaper because the sign is metal and enameled.

3. This means the sign faces can be replaced more frequently if necessary due to changes.

4. They list transit destinations by demarking the sign in a separate, more prominent color.

5. They add a separate marker to denote the neighborhood in which you are/the sign is located.

(I think we need to add Bicycle Sharing information to this signage system.)
