Arts as an economic engine

Americans for the Arts has released the 2008 version of Creative Industries: Business & Employment in the Arts, a comprehensive set of reports organized in a number of ways. This report, City, contains comparative data for the 50 largest cities in the United States.

The organization has an annual conference which looks to be very good. Wish I could attend. Check it out, it's in June in Philadelphia. (It's possible to get a discounted registration if you volunteer.)
