Bicycle sharing proposed for the Democratic National Convention

Except for the fact that I am politically disaffected when it comes to the national scene, that's almost enough to get me to volunteer... See "Bikes Belong in Politics" from the Yellow Scene alternative weekly in Colorado.

Just like people need to be introduced to transit to be comfortable with it, so too must bicycling be reintroduced to people so that they feel comfortable doing it.

Ken keeps sending me stuff about cargo bicycles, and he mentions the Xtracycle, which is also featured in this blog, It's Just a Ride, including this entry, "Backseat Riders" which also links to al as a bunch of videos, including an Xtracycle riding mother carrying four bags of groceries and two children.

And this might one-up the people who took the Metro from their marriage ceremony to their reception. (See "Metro-monial Bliss," from the Post.)
