Purple Line and Capital Crescent Trail Walk TOMORROW - Oct. 4

Late notice via email (and I can't go due to helping a potter stoke a kiln from 2 am to 5 am):

See how the Capital Crescent Trail will, after 20 years, finally reach Silver Spring by attending a Finish the Trail/Build Light Rail trail walk tomorrow morning.

The walk will take place on Saturday October 4th, leaving the North entrance of the Silver Spring Metrorail Station at 9 a.m. (meet at top of the stairs north of Colesville Rd. near 2nd Avenue.

The walk be led by Webb Smedley and Wayne Phyillaier. Walkers will have the option of returning to Silver Spring with Webb for a 3 1/2 mile walk that explores the eastern end of the Bethesda-Silver Spring Purple Line route, or of continuing on to Bethesda with Wayne for a 5 mile walk to see the entire corridor between Bethesda and Silver Spring.
