An interesting example of transit system openness

The Los Angeles Metro system's librarian produces a daily "read" of transportation stories for the agency, but at the same time, the agency makes the digest public, in their blog and as an e-newsletter.

That's not how it's done in the DC area...

And can you imagine a government agency in the DC region actually communicating to its employees about newly published books and other resources that they might be interested in reading, to get new perspective on what they do?
