Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Saturday September 29th is Museums Day

Sponsored by the Smithsonian Magazine, which is published by the Smithsonian Institution, a ticket entitles two patrons to be able to visit one participating museum at no charge.

1,400+ museums across the country are participating.

(I think you might be able to get additional tickets by using different email addresses, but the offer is one ticket per household.)
