Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

University of Maryland student transportation fair this Thursday

I was on the campus for a talk yesterday and noticed a yard sign promoting the Terp Transportation Fair, which starts this Thursday (9/25/2013) at 10:30am (although the webpage says 11am) at Hornbake Plaza.

I'll try to check it out, if only to grab some photos relevant to my presentation on campus bicycle and transportation planning.
