Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Taylor and Francis journals: open access to a number of journal articles on cycling through June 30th

I haven't had a chance to start reading but there is plenty that looks interesting.

-- Taylor and Francis Cycling Collection

This one, particularly, should be a hoot:

--  The rise and fall of Adrian Fenty, Mayor-Triathlete: cycling, gentrification and class politics in Washington DC

There are at least 10 articles that should be worth reading.
