Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

1209 N. Charles Street, Baltimore

This company has been advertising in the City Paper, and maybe in the Express as well.

How could you not want to live in a place with such a funky sales gallery?

I will say, it's located in an interesting area, some decent restaurants close by, a few blocks from the University of Baltimore, Penn Station, the Charles Theater, and the developing Station North Arts district.
