Denver considers maglev service from the airport to the city (just like Shanghai)

Hmm, maybe that's what should have been done for Dulles Airport...

See this article, "RTD opens door to tech," and this editorial, ""Maglev' trains may be key to congestion," from the Denver Post.

I am reading a lot now about transportation for a paper (the reading is letting me know how much I don't know about the field, the volume of writings is incredible) and the U.S. was widely considered to be the world leader in streetcar technology as late as the 1940s. Certainly, the country's locomotive manufacturers and railroad system builders were once in a similar position. (Will F. has pointed out that the foundation of Bombardier's diesel motive unit technology is the old Budd Company of the United States.)
