A regional press conference on expanding rail service

in Illinois. See "Expand rail service, lawmakers, officials say," from the Springfield Journal-Register.

Locally, I have made the same point as one of the quoted lawmakers, about how rail (in DC's case, streetcar) expansion can be considered in terms of tourism promotion, not to mention mobility. See the San Francisco Market Street Railway website as an example of how to do this.
