Good citizen ideas
from the editorial in the Florida Times-Union:
Sharing ideas with politicians can be like shouting inside a sound-proof booth. But U.S. Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Ocala, who represents part of Westside Jacksonville, has come up with a booklet with the ideas of his constituents that he calls "Your Good Ideas."
The booklet originated from responses to a Stearns' survey by more than 8,000 constituents. Stearns sought and assembled ideas on topics that included Iraq, health care, Social Security, taxes, immigration, energy and education.
"Through this booklet, the public can see a responsive government, one that values their input," Stearns said in a letter from his office. "Already I am working on legislation based upon some of these ideas."

I haven't read it yet, but it sounds interesting. I wonder how many of the ideas are good?
