[Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

No stop lights no signs

While I am a fervent believer in theory, having to deal with drivers who believe that they own the road, and so entitled that they feel empowered enough to scream at bicyclists (and others presumably) not to mention road rage, I figure that we need intermediary steps before moving to a no stop light no sign street environment to increase shared spaces. Sure I believe in the use of different road materials like Belgian Block. We can't just jump from the current environment to a completely new environment from the get go.
