Green Party candidate for the riding of Davenport in Toronto, Wayne Scott, rides down Yonge Street during Monday's Car Free day. The street was closed from Shuter to Dundas to celebrate the environmental awareness day that promotes energy conservation.Lucas Oleniuk-Toronto Star.

It started with "a Sept. 22 Fixer column about a 69-year-old "raging granny" who refuses to yield the sidewalk to cyclists who won't ride in bike lanes created for them" ("The Fixer" is a regular column where readers point out problems in the public space, and the newspaper works to get municipalities to correct the problems), was followed by "Bicycles, sidewalks don't mix well," and then "Cyclists say bike lanes make sidewalks safer." Be sure to read through some of the comments.
