Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space

"A community’s physical form, rather than its land uses, is its most intrinsic and enduring characteristic." [Katz, EPA] This blog focuses on place and placemaking and all that makes it work--historic preservation, urban design, transportation, asset-based community development, arts & cultural development, commercial district revitalization, tourism & destination development, and quality of life advocacy--along with doses of civic engagement and good governance watchdogging.

Zoning and building plans and changes must have visible posted notice in Indianapolis

This is a big issue for me. DC requires that notices be posted, but as far as being very visible, there are no such requirements.

I don't think this sign is perfect, rather than providing mention of a general URL, it should have a QR code for the specific project and the URL for information on the specific project, and the posted address/lot/square number so that people can get to the information quickly.

But I like the directness of the sign, and its color. Very bright.
