MTA TO HOST LEGISLATIVE BRIEFING ON MARC TRAIN BRUNSWICK LINE (next week)

From (Maryland House of) Delegate Al(fred) Carr, Kensington, Maryland:

On October 8, 2008 the Maryland Transit Authority will hold a briefing on the MARC Train Brunswick Line for legislators and other elected officials of Montgomery County, Maryland; Frederick County, Maryland; Loudoun County, Virginia; and Berkeley County, West Virginia. The MTA will discuss the MARC Train Brunswick Line in relation to the MARC Growth and Investment Plan 2010-2035.

The briefing will be held at 7:00 pm in the Montgomery County Council Office Building, 7th Floor Council Hearing Room, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850

Delegate Alfred C. Carr, Montgomery County, District 18, applauds Governor O'Malley's initiative to improve commuter rail. "This is a wise transportation investment that has great potential to improve mobility and economic development in the entire region," said Delegate Carr.
