Digital ad screens in NYC Subway stations display weekend service closure maps

In 2018, I had a meeting and walking tour of part of London with Ivan Bennett, who had been product design manager for the London bus system--it was a fabulous experience, about 6 hours.

One of the points he made along the way was about digital screens being able to display different kinds of maps much more easily.
For example, at night, the display of a digital bus system map could be limited to the night time bus route network.
This is another example of the positive opportunities offered by digital display screens for transit system maps.
Previously, NYC Subway used posters to present this information, which had to be printed and put up.

One of the primary bus routes between Bayonne and Jersey City boomed in popularity once NJ Transit took over operations and it started running more consistently.
NJ Transit took over the operation of the No. 10 bus route last summer after the previous contractor provided inconsistent service, and since then ridership has increased by 52%, NJ Transit’s Michael Kilcoyne, senior vice president of surface transportation and bus operations, told New Jersey Advance Media.
The route has become so popular that NJ Transit added 29 additional weekday trips in late June. The bus runs on Kennedy Boulevard between 2nd Street in Bayonne and Journal Square station.
... The main inconvenience with the bus is its weekend service, she said, which is more infrequent, so it often leads to her waiting at the bus stop much longer. She said Sunday service intervals can be more than 30 minutes. According to the timetable, service is every 20 minutes on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 9:40 p.m., and less frequent in the early morning and late-night hours.
NJ Transit previously contracted Coach USA to operate the bus route. But in June 2022, it took the operations off of Coach’s hands due to a Coach driver shortage, along with the No. 22, 23 and 119 routes.
MTA used to have en entire app -- "The Weekender" which would give you maps/directions on current service disruptions.
The Green/Yellow line bridge reopened in May, Yellow line service north of Convention center has been cut, and no maps have been updated
