International Walk to School Day being observed in DC next Wednesday

To celebrate International Walk to School Day, about 300 Students from several Capitol Hill area schools will meet at Lincoln Park, at 7:30 on Wednesday morning, to walk to school.

Participating schools include the Capitol Hill Cluster School, Maury Elementary, Miner Elementary, Payne Elementary, Tyler Elementary and Capitol Hill Day School. The celebration will include music, cheerleaders, free snacks, coffee and giveaways. Walkers will stretch and warm up before beginning at 8:20 a.m., accompanied by D.C. police officers.
